			<title>Been a While</title>
			<link>http://www.nerdvp.com/blog.php?id=1235191076</link>
			<description>
				Wow, so it looks like it's been over a year since I last posted something here. I should really update this site more often. Anyway, let's get down to business. What's changed in the last year.
The first and probably biggest change was graduating. I finished my education with a bachelors degree in Software Engineering and an associates degree in Computer Engineering. Not only that, but I also graduated Magna Cum Laude.
I then got a job working for International Game Technology. I now spend most of my time in a cubicle programing software for slot machines. It's awesome! 40 hours a week in front of a computer writing code. Sadly I haven't gotten any really difficult/fun solo projects yet, though I did spend some time assisting people with a few pretty cool projects.
On the social side I'm back in Karate. I looked into going back into American Kenpo, but I decided to go to a dojo with a few friends. It's supposed to be Shaolin Kenpo, so there are a pretty good number of similarities.That about sums up everything that's happened with me for the past year, sad isn't it. A full year of my life can be summarized in 3 paragraphs.

			<title>Snow Sucks</title>
			<link>http://www.nerdvp.com/blog.php?id=1201986495</link>
			<description>
				There is a lot of snow out there. In the past few days it's dropped about a foot or more, and that is on top of what was already there from a couple of weeks ago. So the main point of this post was Wednesday night. I was leaving the school at around 9:00, turned on my car to start defrosting the windshield and started scraping the ice off my car. When I went to get back in my car, I discovered that the doors were locked, with the keys in the ignition and the car running. I ended up standing there waiting 45 minutes to an hour for AAA to help me get back in the car. The entire time snow was falling and it was about 25 degrees out. The next day snow was still falling very hard with no sign of letting up. I skipped school, and worked on my lab at home, good thing too, since they closed the school at 4:00 and left the College Union open for all the students who had come and could no longer get home through the snow. On Friday, OIT was the only thing open. All of the other schools were closed, government offices were closed, and the bus was not running. Yet we still had to drive to the school. I want another snow day.

			<title>People SUCK!</title>
			<link>http://www.nerdvp.com/blog.php?id=1196300906</link>
			<description>
				So I am currently really pissed off. I was at the OTB office last night working on one of the DVD's we have to get done. I left the office at 9:30 and I know I locked the door behind me. I walked out of the office, thought about it and walked back in to check. I know for a fact it was locked. When I walked in this morning at 8:00 the laptop was not seeing the hard drive. I thought that the Hard drive had died again or the IDE controller had gone out. Well the director saw the laptop error and decided to check the hard drive connection only to find that the hard drive was gone!!! The hard drive had been removed from the laptop and the ****er who took it had set up the laptop so it appeared nothing had been taken. Apparently, the ******* also took the personal laptop of one of our volunteers.
Now we have thousands of dollars worth of equipment in our office, and the person took one laptop and our hard drive. This just pushes the point that he didn't take anything for the money but rather to make our lives miserable. Right now , I am 90% sure of who took it but without proof that means jack ****. Let's just say he has motive to piss us off and hurt the person who's laptop was stolen. All in all, I want to hurt someone

			<title>Guitar Hero 3</title>
			<link>http://www.nerdvp.com/blog.php?id=1194552855</link>
			<description>
				It is awesome!!! I've been playing on and off since saturday and I still enjoy it as much as when I first started playing Guitar Hero 1. The new controller is far more badass, though I thought it could use some touching up.

In other news I went to see Cirque Works The Birdhouse last tuesday, and it was pretty amazing. They had expert contortionists, acrobats, rope dancing people, trapeeze artists, hula-hoopers, and some dude who could do amazing things in a wheel. Very impressive overall. I also went to see Mike Birbiglia in Redding. I have never seen a comedian who made me laugh harder. The show was incredible. It also had the talents of Jeff Tate, Todd Glass, and some female comedian. So Last week was great, and now I have guitar hero!!!

				So the actual president of the club decided who the winner was of the 3 hour programming competition. The winner is &lt;drumroll&gt;badadadadadada&lt;/drumroll&gt; Nick and Scott. So yes, my team won the competition, the other team who submitted a game got second place. If you would like to play the game you can download it at www.otgd.org. Just remember the concept, programming, and debugging all took place within 3 hours so there are a couple of bugs.

			<title>VideoGame Engineering</title>
			<link>http://www.nerdvp.com/blog.php?id=1192633827</link>
			<description>
				So Last night was fun. I went to the Oregon Tech Game Developers meeting and participated in a game design competition. The rules for the competition were to make a game in the windows console in under 3 hours, using the theme "Assassin". I was pretty happy with what my team designed, and how it played. I don't have it hosted anywhere online at the moment but I should get it uploaded and throw a link up sometime today.

As for the rest of my responsibilities, school is going much easier recently with many more A's and far less C's. Then there's OTB where we still have one editing computer and no working cameras. It could just make a guy cry.

			<title>I'm alive</title>
			<link>http://www.nerdvp.com/blog.php?id=1188277237</link>
			<description>
				and I guess that's something. I really haven't posted anything up here in quite a while. Well, the summer is nearing the end and along with that my employment for Sierra Pacific, at least for now. I would not be surprised if I got a job offer later in the year, the only question would be whether or not I would take it. I haven't enjoyed my job a whole lot this summer, but I'm not sure I would really enjoy any job I had, and at least SPI pays well. It will take a lot of time and consideration to come to a decision regarding that matter. In other news, I turned 21 last Wednesday, then got tipsy on Thursday, and Drunk on Friday. At least I think I was drunk, it's kind of hard to tell, as it seems that when I get drunk I start to more normal. I'm just weird that way. Not much else to report, I'm hoping to get a very basic like pre-alpha version of my Social-Networking site up in the next month or so, and would be very happy if anyone joined to point out all of the bugs any flaws. Though since no-one reads this... Anyway, I think I'll try to start posting things more often. Ciao
